Spring replacement ÖHLINS 36/72 Nm 411lb and a length of 76mm

When we have to choose a new spring for our shock absorber we have to look at several details. In the total length of the spring, in the stroke of the shock absorber and hardness, or also called elastic constant.
In this case, the length does not refer to the shock absorber, but to the spring, to the distance between the two flat parts of the spiral, which are those that rest on the plates.
The stroke, or travel, refers to the maximum compression that the spring can withstand without touching the spirals together.
Hardness refers to the force that must be applied to the spring so that a certain distance is compressed.
If for example your spring says: *** 350 x 2.80, it means that the hardness is 350 pounds (158.76 Kg) and that its stroke is 2.80 inches (7.11 cm). That is, for it to move an inch you have to exert a force of 350 pounds.
All spring measurements are expressed in pounds and inches, so you'll need to convert to kilograms and centimeters to know exactly what you need.
Remember: 1 Pound = 0.45436 Kg. / 1 Inch: 2.54 mm
